Planned by the British partnership Cotton & Sutton, the Bergamo Golf Club was officially inaugurated on 19th March 1961.
It is located in an enchanting setting of meadows and age-old trees, on the edge of the outlying Orobic hills in the pre-Alps. Here, golf, nature and culture blend harmoniously.
Following the inauguration of the last 9 holes in 1987, L’Albenza Bergamo Golf Club now boasts a wonderful 27-hole course of a high technical standard.
Over the years, L’Albenza Golf Club has hosted top-level national and international competitions for professionals and amateurs, including the prestigious 53rd Italian Open, a stage of the European Men’s Tour held in 1996.
An interesting calendar of events every year attracts numerous players from other clubs, adding to the prestige of L'Albenza Club.
The facilities include a practice green, an approach green and 2 putting greens. Carts, trolleys and caddies are also available.
Even children’s needs are taken into account. A qualified baby-sitting service is provided in a dedicated area.
